Testing the multi-exposure drive mode at a local pond to get that soft-water look.
Camera was suspended upside down from my tripod about 2" above the water. Can't use WiFi control for multi-mode, so reverted to my Oppilas wireless trigger.

Our town is host to an awesome music school taught by Doug "Kid" Bangham, a former member of the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Kid threw an outdoor "concert on the patio" with his students (from about 5 years old up to middle-age+) last week. He hired me to come shoot and it was the perfect opportunity to try the K-1 in an active concert environment, with lighting ranging from near-full sun to stage lighting only over the course of the evening. I used both my Sigma 24-70 2.8 and the 70-200 2.8
I am consistently impressed with the dynamic range of the K-1. It easily handled shooting into the spots and LEDs without being overwhelmed and blowing out, and yet you can still easily see the performers. I find it takes more tweaking to achieve similar results with the K3

I sat down on my deck to start going through some of the K1s settings, There had been a hummingbird flitting around in one of our gardens far away (far even for the Bigma), but he never came to the feeder.
No sooner did I focus on the feeder to test a few things out when "poof" - he appeared out of nowhere.
Bigma at 500 with a heavy crop.

Another from yesterday's cold and foggy Cape Cod Canal. This is a three exposure HDR done in Nik, toned in On1, tweaked in LR.
1/500 @ 4.5, 5.6, 7.1 and ISO200

First shots, crop set to FF. Mix of new, old and APS-C just to see what they would do. really crappy weather here, and dark, so not heading outside yet.
