Yes I know that. Again it is just a reach of a suggestion to give it a try and see what happens.

I haven't shot that high a level of MEs so I have not experienced this (I'm usually down in the 20-40 range). However I wonder if you load the same RAW into Digital Camera Utility if you would get that color cast. I read somewhere that LR doesn't handle pixel shift well, for example, and injects some color cast. But load it into DCU then export as a TIF and all is well. Just a thought/reach.

Evidence of incomplete mirror retraction while scouting a location a couple of hours ago.

Camera made an audibly different "double clunk" sort of noise.

This image is shutter count 3370. Battery in camera and grip fully charged.

The K3 does this as well. However it will still write to the single card.

In fact both also tell you WHICH card is missing. The "slash" in the warning goes through a number (1 or 2) that represents which card is MIA.

Edit: never mind...I see you mean with the App? Haven't tried that yet.

I've had this with various lenses as well. Seems to work fine on one, not so well on another.

In all cases for me it has turned out to be dirty contacts. Take a Q-Tip moistened with rubbing alcohol and clean all the electrical contacts on the lens AND the camera. I also run the Q-Tip all around the surface of the lens mounts to remove any dirt there too.

This happened to me over the weekend. Plus two other interesting glitches.

I was shooting a high school graduation. Indoors with my Sigma 70-200 all was fine. When the ceremony wrapped and moved outdoors (very bright and sunny and about 83 degrees) I switched to my Sigma 24-70.

The "glitch" happened first. Now I'm not certain it was a glitch yet or something I did, but after several rounds of high speed continuous shooting of kids exiting the building, I would stop, then shoot again as more kids came out. Suddenly I couldn't shoot. It was as if the buffer was full (I don't believe it was), but it was several or more seconds before I could do anything again. Later, it didn't happen at all. I need to see if I can recreate this before declaring it a bug.

The second glitch relates to apparent over exposure as shown on the preview. I was shooting in TAv mode, and after a good number of normal shots the preview started suddenly showing me blown out exposures. I couldn't figure it out. At one point in a panic I dropped the EV compensation way down and that seemed to help as far as the preview was concerned. However when I got home and offloaded the RAW files, all the photos that were "overexposed" where spot on, and the ones I compensated with EV where underexposed. Weird!

I did see Tas's issue too. I had both on purpose and accidentally switched to and from Live View (for some over-the-crowd shots, other times by accident because I am used to the Play button being elsewhere on the K3), and on more than one occasion the camera would fail to return fully from live view, whereby the mirror seemed to be stuck in the up position and the view finder was black. Other times Live View would only show at the top 1/4 of the screen with the bottom 3/4 mostly black. Again, as if the mirror wasn't fully actuated in the correct direction.

Curiously, after power cycling the camera for one of these episodes, the overexposure problem I mentioned above suddenly went away,

Because of the shooting situation I was in, I couldn't troubleshoot and just power-cycled to clear the problem in order to move on.

Will investigate and try to replicate at a later time when my schedule clears. In the meantime I just wanted to give a "me too" to Tas.

Rather than continuing to belabor the issue, why not just try I and see if it solves your problem first. That's why I suggested it. Would take 20 seconds, causes no harm and possibly gives you useful information, no? As for why...lots of info available via Google.

I have 58AF-2s. Extended does nothing, and HSS only permits 1/1 power unless I go manual, no PTTL. Only otherwise works in crop.

ALWAYS format a new card in your camera. Do not accept the default formatting.

That version is from 2013 and is what I have in my flashes currently.

I sent a support request in a few days after receiving the K1 and other than an obligatory confirmation reply...crickets.

I hit them up on Facebook just under a week ago, and same thing. Crickets. Maybe it's because I don't speak German? They replied to a German post within a day.

Anyone else get further?

Just realized you meant your 52's FW and not the K-1.

Darn it.

I run 58 AF2s

Is that in crop mode though? That worked previously, FF did not. Either way, off to load new firmware!!

Did you format both cards in the camera first?

I don't consider that a bug. I never change my lenses or SD cards with the camera on! That invites a host of possible problems. You should always power down first.
