Our local vet's center is putting together a Vietnam War exhibit. Central to it is this display of nameless, faceless soldiers. I found it haunting.

The snow is in shadow, the sky that day was clear and blue, and the film long-expired. Still, I plan to slip this negative into the enlarger and see what I can come up with for a print. It may drive me mad trying to color correct it.

I was out and about Sunday with my new-to-me Program Plus and ME Winder II and 50mm Pentax-A F2.0 lens, shooting a roll of expired Kodak Gold 200. The kids, dog, and camera all aligned to capture this nice image. Scanned negative with Nikon Coolscan 5000. |
