The K-3 will give you much more resolution, and all those extra pixels will be used in downsampling to improve the noise and dynamic range of the noisier photosites, too.

Yeah, that's amazing for fast, accurate focusing of wide aperture lenses, and that's what I did to my K-30, but this thing has a fixed one for the Head Up Display, apparently.
