I'm not as in love with Thomas Heaton as others, but there's no doubting he's a popular YouTube vlogger.
AFAIK he's decided to put away his Zeiss 21mm and go with the Canon 16-35mm.

Yes, if the prices for variable aperture zooms were high enough, Ricoh execs would be inclined to greenlight them.

I think you'd have to charge less for those variable aperture zooms, Greg, and in this declining camera market all brands are prioritizing premium products.

Yes, the 15-30 is the serious option.
Less serious, weighty and expensive is the DA12-24, which effectively is a 17-24 full frame lens.
Really good combination with the DFA 28-105. Add a fast fifty and you could travel the world.
