Well, you can see in posts above I've already shot it on FF. :)
Look, you were trying to change the topic to that Equivalence rot ... back to the FA 77.
It's a lens I love, but it's a fact it's not sharp in the corners wide open, and that only worsens when it goes back on the FF it was designed for. This is what we're talking about, APS-C always uses the best part of the lens:
"The FA 77mm f/1.8 Limited produced very good to excellent resolution figures in the MTF lab. At f/1.8 the center performance is already very fine but the borders quality isn't there yet. This may sound unimpressive but for portraits, surely the typical application for the lens, this characteristic isn't really much of an issue because the subject tends to be close to the center here anyway. Stopping-down to f/2.8 lifts the center resolution to excellent levels whereas the borders improve to good figures. The performance peak is reached at f/5.6 with an outstanding center and excellent borders."
The vignetting reaches 0.8eV too, what's the bet it exceeds 1eV on 35mm? Pentax SMC-FA 77mm f/1.8 Limited - Review / Test Report - Analysis
Luckily, the number of grams of pixie dust is the same whatever it's attached to.

Now you have changed something else for the worse and we are going to have to agree on disagreeing about how that is mitigated, I'm afraid.
And I shoot both full frame and APS-C, for the record. ☺

Well, APS-C does use the best half (the centre) of every lens. ☺
Vignetting and corner sharpness will always be better on a crop camera.

Yes, that's right, LR. I've got a silver 77, which puzzled the other Canikon togs. :)

Congrats, Wiz! The shot's great and I hoped you were sober enough to get through your speech at the reception. ☺

You could say the same thing about 'photographer'. ☺
There are more people in front and behind lenses than can make a living out of what they do.
