We've moved on from that one, Monochrome.
It's now 120V in big electromagnetic fields from big aerials throughout your home or office.
Now it's a race between us to get the seed capital to Kobie ... I'll begin by selling my car.

PoE isn't over WiFi, Kobie, it's over Ethernet cabling.
When you pick up your handset from its Ethernet powered base station, it's electricity isn't coming from WiFi but a battery inside it.
That's why you have to return it to the base station, to recharge.

Thanks, Dave ... I'm not sure it isn't him, actually. He gets around and is a man of many talents.

Because the apples we eat are mutants (the originals were tiny, like what we used to call 'crab apples', grafting is the way to go, because any normal reproduction can just regress to earlier forms.

Fingers were crossed when I bought from eBay in the States an ancient Canon FD 300mm L f2.8 to put on my Sony A7. What if I'd been sold a pup?
I'm a happy camper! |

Yes, very similar.
It's not a law firm, though, it's possible the same 'chambers' could provide both the defending and prosecuting attorneys at a trial, allegedly without conflict of interest. I suppose they're regarded as contractors. :)

I'm drooling at both the lens and the pile of cookies you've placed beside it as a reference, Aslyfox!
I've just eBayed an old Canon FD lens - the 300mm f2.8 with fluorite and UD elements, nine aperture blades. The plan is to hook it up to my Sony A7. Hoping it survives the Pacific crossing at the hands of various baggage handlers.

Just beautiful, Ivan, you must post some pictures you take with it.
The new D FA 85mm f1.4 will be a very different beast.

Of course I think your answer is superficial.
Why are our millions of computers ... like the one I'm typing on right now, a humble 4Gb dual core Pentium ... not losing their printers, bootability and Hotmail every week like the ones in your family?
Why the lack of results in the Google query "Asus p550la kb3185614"?
You say you're in IT but you couldn't get a patch to install ... so turned patches off? That's especially bad now that like phones, Windows is following a continuous rather than life cycle development process.
IMHO, instead of giving uninformed blanket advice to Kadajawi, who you know nothing about, I'd say stick to databases, Canada_Rockies. :)

Then why hasn't this happened to the rest of us, or the other people you work with?
I'm a Systems Engineer, so a superficial answer won't do, CR. 😀

Very Swinging Sixties, Carnaby Street, etc. Witnessing a possible murder shakes a photographer out of his hedonistic slumber, but he can't seem to get anyone else in happenin' London society to pay attention. Watch for The Yardbirds playing, with a very young Michael Palin in the crowd. :)
Yes, it's hard to believe, but he did shoot people other than Jean Shrimpton! Was around for a very long time.

Thanks for the link, I didn't realise Huawei's wide-aperture mode only works with subjects closer than a metre.
Still, I think it's currently top of the totem pole in DXO's phone ratings, isn't it?

Real. For fun I used LR to develop a shot from the Edinburgh Military Tattoo on tour here in Melbourne.
A phone always takes RAW shots with its Bayer sensor, it's just recently that Google and Microsoft have made them available. Apple hasn't.

Any Android v5 (Lollipop) or newer offers RAW, BMC, just download an app (like 'Camera-FV5') that can take advantage of it.
You get DNG files that you can work on in Lightroom or whatever.

Yep, as a systems engineer I run into IT people with questionable skills all the time ... download it yourself, and ask if it's okay to install it. They should thank you instead of raving on about a SOE. :)
The system itself cannot tell you that there is a newer driver available from the manufacturer.
It can only say that Microsoft has a newer driver of some kind available from their Windows Update routine - one they may have written themselves, possibly quite generic.
Some manufacturers like Lenovo let you download their own driver update program - I highly recommend this approach.

Fantastic, baffling film.
There was an interview the other day with David Bailey, one of the inspirations for the main character.
He got away one day with telling the Queen: "Alright, girl, move a bit to your left.' ☺
