6x6 Envy
Since it seem that I will soon be a owner of a 6x6 camera and just simply love the 6x6 format. I went out yesterday with a mission to make meself some square images. Here is the result. Link to set on flickr with a bit bigger pictures: 6x6 Envy - a set on Flickr |

Did some wildlife photography yesterday. It involves being at the right place, at the right time. And alot of waiting for the right moment. Unfortunally, I did not bring my guillesuit nor camotent to get closer. But after hours and hours of waiting, when you get that picture, it's all worth it. Even if you are covered in horsedung to disguise your smell, so that you do not scare the wildlife away. And wet from the melting pile of snow that you are lying in.

Been spending a few days to learn using a more wideangle lens then the usual 85-135 that I use most often. The lens I have been trying to use is the Super Takumar 35/3.5 and I think it is quite usable for portraits. Some of the shots below. I think it works quite well for portraits. However it is a bit too sharp. My solution, keep the targets face out of focus. As seen on the two first pics, it is very sharp, focused on hands, but yet render the face pleasently in the oof area. Thats new, since with the 85, she would have been a bokeh.
Original sizes and stuff found at my flickr.

The 135/2.5 is a great lense if it is the newer design. The 20/4.5 is underrated imho. I like it alot, it has a superb colour render. Takumar 20/4.5 |

The other way around. Why would someone trade a S-M-C 1.8 for a Super Takumar 1.9? I got a 1.9, but I want the S-M-C. :p
