I always get more excited when there's a full moon with broken cloud. Getting a clear shot of the moon is good, but there's more emotion in an image where the moon and clouds combine to make shapes of light and dark.

Another from the same spot as the previous image with the K-1 and D-FA 150-450. This is a heavy crop for the fun of it. Moon landing by Grant, on Flickr

Some cloud got in the way on the horizon, but by the time the moon was in clear sky the sunset colours were abloom (is that even a word?).

This view was captured by a lot of people from Mt Cootha in Brisbane. I took a young photographer mate up there for the full moon so got the K-1 out as well. Super moon and the city by Grant, on Flickr

Was at a loss for what to chase with the moon this evening, so I went with the Story Bridge in Brisbane again though this time with the K-1, D-FA 150-450 and the same old Kenko 2x converter. Walking on the moon by Grant, on Flickr

I'd planned for the moon and the bridge, nearly got an aircraft too but not quite.
This image is cross posted in another thread and was shot with the K5, DA*300 and Kenko 2x converter. I was setting up for a shot of the moon and bridge when this bloke ran into the frame from the right, I pressed the remote (it was in mirror lock up) and I guessed when I thought he'd be central in the bridegwork. I don't think I could do this again if I tried. Walking on the moon by Grant, on Flickr
This was the same night but taken a bit later with the same set up. By the light, of the silvery moon... by Grant, on Flickr

The moon climbed pretty fast and with two people distracting me I missed the framing I was after, so it's a bit higher than I wanted here. Captured with the D-FA 70-200. Spotlight on Woody Point by Grant, on Flickr

As I look out the window, it's clouds and rain I see. There was a one night window for us here and thankfully it held out to capture the moon on Friday; unlike the previous two months of cloud.
Ta for the positive feedback, hopefully you'll have better luck next month. :)
