Yes, $250 is a hell of a deal for x100. I see x100s cameras for $600ish, but not the x100t. I think you are talking about a real deal here. Let us know what you get. ---------- Post added 03-23-17 at 09:39 AM ----------
That is an amazing deal for the x-e1 and I would highly consider purchasing that camera.

Yes, there are compromises in every direction. I personally would take a x-e1, x-pro1, x-t10 camera. At the time, I picked mine up for $400, and I think the price has gone up. I don't think I would find an interchangeable X camera + lens combo under that price.

Mighty fine choice...
I love the original X100, but it has some minor focusing issues that may discourage you. Starting with the X100s, things got really good. I think you should consider picking up the X100s or newer unless you find a crazy deal on an original.

Apples and Oranges my friend.
Lens selection is very different and almost cannot be compared. Images out of the systems are slightly different too, they take on a different characteristic when compared side by side. In my opinion, you will benefit from having both systems since they each have significant strengths and weaknesses.
I wouldn't ask you to compare features to make this decision. Both systems are entirely capable and will perform very well. You need to look at the camera that fills your immediate need and will let you grow. IF you are considering Fuji for your primary system in the future, go with the interchangeable lens camera. Otherwise, get the x100s,t,f and call it a day.
Caution: X100 line is a gateway drug to Fuji.

Are you considering the new KP? I understand it is small and light, specifically designed to capture the Limited lens lovers.

Really sad to hear that. I still love my pentax gear. Yes it isn't the fastest glass, but it is sharp and full of color. I do agree, we need fast glass like Fuji or M43. I want Pentax Limited line with a 50mm 1.2, 30mm 1.4, and a 20 mm f2. I don't think my request is all that crazy, do you?

It has often been said the x100 is the gateway drug into fuji. I am eyeing an xpro-1. KEH has them at very affordable prices.
Just keep in mind the sensor changed after some time, this does produce a slightly different look. If you do your homework, you may be in the market for a new camera.

The X100 demands patience, but rewards you kindly. You can't push the shadows like a K-5 and above, but you still get a great file to work with. Detail is wonderful, colors are unique in their own right. Some how the image is much different than what comes out of a Pentax, and it has its uses.
I do love mine, and won't ever sell it.

I did the same thing. I personally like the x100. The most recent version of the firmware makes things MUCH better, but it isn't perfect. I know the x100s and t fix these issues and when those are $400.00 listed on KEH with a warranty I'll probably pick one up.
