Attention!
Firmware 1.10 on K10D or before is not SDM activated. The SDM function was introduced in firmware 1.20 or later... this should be confirmed in K10D firmware listing. My K10D is firmware 1.10 and my 16-50mm uses screw drive and works very well.

Hello Canadian Pentaxians,
Is there somebody in Canada that can deactivate my 2 SDMs: 16-50 and 50-135 paired with a K5 and K5IIs? I understand that there is a problem with Canadian Custom duties with shipments from the US which have trouble being resolved. They charge the duty for the retail value which is around $90 a lens instead of zero for a repaired item.
