...a couple of photos of me sorting 6 x 17cm transparencies on my attache case light box. You may have seen these posted by me in the Pentaxium Day Gallery under the title: "Like The Hand Of God"

Shot with a K20D & Sigma 24mm F1.8 EX DG Macro hand held @ 200ASA Raw

6x17's were shot with a 5x4 Toyo with Schneider 47mm & 58mm F5.6 Super-Angulon XL & Rodenstock 65mm f/4.5 Grandagon-N lenses, their respective centre graduated filters & 6 x 17 Art Panorama Back.

The film stock for one of the transparencies may be found amusing (perhaps) :D

Not too off topic I hope

Cheers :)

Did you say funky or clunky?? ...I like it a lot too, great tonal rendering & good sharpness without the edgyness of the DFA/DA's.

I took a look at some of your image posts. You have a good eye for composition particularly with structuring B&W tonality. I particularly like "Blacks At Evening Twilight" & "BC Parliament Interior". Very nice work. Good processing too.

Here's another pic I shot a couple of years ago with the same RZ67 but with the 50mm f/4.5 ULD & Velvia 100F Pro. I copied it at the same time as the Wicca with the same hardware.

Cheers

A portrait of a contemporary Wicca.

I thought I would post this for interest value, & perhaps some amusement.

This is an old pic shot a few years ago with an RZ67 ProII & Mamiya 65mm f4 L-A on Fujichrome Provia 100F. Exposure was 50/50 ambient light & 2 x 1000WS Elinchrom Monolights. One @ 400Ws firing through a 1m softbox above & behind the camera, the other @ 800Ws bounced off the wall/ceiling corner behind & to the left of camera.

IMO the lighting could have been better. It's too even & should have been more moody, but.....it was rushed. With only 45 mins to shoot it, there was not much time for lighting variations.

This posted image is a B&W converted jpg from a 200ASA Raw copy of the original full colour 6x7cm transparency shot on a shaded 5000K light box with a Pentax istD & FA100 f2.8 Macro. This process is probably no faster than performing a proper scan...but when there's no 6x9 scanner handy....it proves that with care, one can get acceptable results with this technique.

A Wicca by the way, is a Witch.

Cheers :)
