Almost certainly, based on my experience with expired slide film — and which I now avoid for that reason. (Well, that and the colour shifting. But that can be "artistic". :D )

Probably not much, other than that I'd completely skip the box speed shot when testing it. If it's from the '80s and likely not cold stored, it's probably not going to give good results at box speed.
(I generally just shoot an entire first roll using the one stop per decade rule, and then adjust my subsequent rolls based on that one. But I take a very relaxed approach to my shots. :lol: )
