I had not used my SMC PENTAX-M 135mm f3.5 for a long time-- so I gave it an outing as I was testing an ME SUPER for which I had lubricated the Mirror Lock Lever inside the base-plate . So loaded with some 02/2001 dated 'Jessops Pan 100' i processed in '510-Pyro' Film Developer and was AMAZED at the resolution with that combination ! on the one of two workers on some Scaffolding outside a local Pub you can read the TIME on the Bloke's WATCH under a x6 Magnifier ! Aperture was f8 and 'Auto' exposure and ASA 100 even though film was 'Outdated' I still got 'Box Speed'

Here are a couple taken on a SMC -Takumar 135mm f3.5 on an old Chinon 'Prinzflex' body that i was given . I renewed the Mirror Bumper and back door Light Seal foams and lubricated all the cogs and levers in the base-plate and the delayed action and now it runs 'sweetly' ! FILM was outdated Ilford FP4+ cut from a gift Bulk tin with not much left and I processed in my Home=made FX-4 Formula 1+1

Here is a 'Test' photo on a weird lens I have been given with an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic F set the other day. It's a 'Universar' Ultra Multicoated 135mm f2.8 -- never heard of that make. It's M42 mount of course. i used an outdated 2001 Fuji Press 800 rated 320 ASA and processed in myself in C41 so quality is not the best due to the 'Old Film' but it seems sharp enough at f5.6 -- not tried f2.8 yet.

I went to the Tudor time re-enactment at Kentwell Hall in Suffolk ( England) and took the 135mm f3.5 SMC Pentax-M and this is the only one for which I used it ! A funny play in the grounds, 1996 Pentax MZ-5 on AV exposure, f5.6, 2006 outdated Konica VX 200 film rated 125 ASA and a 6x4" print scanned.
