Whining and moping...entitlement thinking... Strong words to describe my post and my intent. I was very upset and the post was in immediate response to finding out I no longer have what I thought I bought.
I find it funny that you give B&H the benefit of the doubt and not me the consumer. They didn't intentionally mislead, but I am the typical entitlement thinker.
Bottom line is I am just one consumer who may spend several thousand dollars a year. A drop in the bucket to B&H. The only thing I can do is share my experience. After all this time, I called back and still nothing. I haven't even received notice they received the returned less not to mention my credit being placed back in my account.
I am willing to take every word back and share my satisfaction if B&H makes it right, but to this point they have done nothing but "make it wrong." So I am using the power of the pen to share my experiences. This isn't my first issue either, rewards that never materialize then when you call them on it they say no rewards were offered on the day of your purchase.
I have no beef with rwingsfan, so I wish you all the best. I know you don't know me and have know clue about my character. Again this post was about fact, not accusations, so I will refrain from going at you.
Henryp or any B&H representative, if you are out there, I would love for you to chime in as you can't receive a pm.

Called today and still no help. Henryp if you are out there, anything you can do to assist. I am willing to accept a DA*300mm f4 and Pentax 1.4x teleconverter as substitutes for a discounted price.

I want to thank everyone for their comments, but going at each other wasn't the intent of this post. I just wanted to voice my dissatisfaction with B&h. I was hoping they would make it right, but that hasn't happened and now they are on break for the Passover, so I will respect this important time for them an not continue this discussion until they reopen.
I guess my refund will be delayed as well.

Your example of a DA 60-250 for $12 instead of $1200 is not even relevant. I paid $900 for a used lens that original sold new for $1200. Why is that such a great deal? That is about right for a used example. It isn't like a purchased it for $12 or even $120. To my knowledge the lens doesn't come up frequently enough to established a secondary market price. So it irritates me that you are soooo off base with your comments. I could understand a listing error that egregious, but this isn't that. This was no listing accident. This was a bate and switch that they failed to make right by just allowing me to return it for my money back.
Small claims court may not be my best option, but where i spend my money and the value of sharing my experience with others is my only payback. I have been done wrong by B&H in the past as well. Rewards dollars that never materialize during black Friday. I have learned you better print off and date whatever you see on their webpages because what you actually get or don't get can be different that what was advertised.
By the way I got no discount on a future purchase I was offered to buy a $4000 lens for $3850 after the initial investment of $900. Not like I had a $150 credit toward a future purchase. That was the offer take it or leave it and I left it. If I was buying a $250000 house and I signed the papers they gave me the keys and it unlocked the doors to a $150000 house that I hadn't seen before and to make up for it they offered me a DEAL to buy a Million Dollar home for $925000, i wouldn't jump at that offer because it appeared to be a deal out of my price range.
Not here to piss anyone off, but my experience with B&H is different that what you may have. If you like shopping there, do it. Enjoy it. For me Ain't Gonna Happen! They burned me for the last time. I have other options an until I don't have other options, my dollars will be spent elsewhere.

Not trying to pick a fight with you either, but I am out, I sold my long telephoto lens and shipped it prior to getting this one.
The only comparable lens is the prime Sigma 500mm. And yes, $150 off that lens that is $4000 is not a great deal when you were planning on spending a quarter of that for a superior lens.
I am upset with B&H because when I got off the phone speaking with a customer service rep and Isreal the used customer service manager I didn't feel valued as a customer and they didn't make me whole with just the return.
I have other options and I will use them. They have the right to do what is best for their company, and if have the right to spend my dollars with companies who value having me as a customer. In the last 6 months I have spent over $5k with them and they did this to me. I deserve better and that is that.

What I wanted them to do is make the situation right. The could have given me the option to buy a like lens at cost, the could have admitted their mistake and given me a gift card for a substanitL amount, or the could have said the next time we get in a FA 400 lens it is yours at the $900 price you paid for it. Any one of these would have made me happy. They didn't offer me any reasonable option for their mistake.

I am done with B&H. They offered a return and no replacement. They did offer me 3.5 then 5% off of a $4000 lens, but i didn't feel like spending an extra $3000 because of their mistake.
I am done with B&H Photo. I have spent too much money at that place just to be done wrong like this. I now have no Telephoto lens for my son's rowing event.
Adorama, welcome to the family. I am done dealing with the reward dollar switcheroos and now this?????
I am now part of AA....Adorama and Amazon.

The old bait and switch just happened at b&h photo.
I purchased the fa*400 f5.6 for k mount and they send me the 645 version of the lens! One the sold me is silver the one i received is black!
How do you mix up these lenses. I think my deal of the century became the dud of the year. Ups just dropped it off, i am pissed and insanely disappointed. I just sold my 150-500mm lens on the forum knowing i was getting this lens and it is unusable and incompatible.
Any help b&h? I want the lens i purchased!!!
