Thank you for the info. That is why I have my Metz 52 listed for sale on the forum. It is an awesome flash but I need it to work with my new V6 remotes. I guess I can always use it as a "dummy" manual without remote power control.

I tried the learning feature on the Cactus V6 with the Matz 52 attached. The menu says it is not supported. It is odd because the Canon version of Metz 52 is supported natively on the Cactus V6.

Am I doing something wrong?

Put it back together and contact them anyway. They might still honor their warranty. Can't hurt to try it. I think the fear of Amazon's wrath might make them do things that they may not do otherwise. Good luck. Let us low how it turns out.

First good luck with the 44. I have bought used items from Adorama any they were in excellent shape.

Additionally, I had to return two Yongnuo flashes. One of them overheated to a point that it started to shut down in the middle of an assignment. The other one died after a few months of very light use. Since they were both under warranty, I asked for repair or replacement. They (YN) decided to refund my money on both units. I am not sure if it was the Amazon influence (fear) to make them so super responsive or they are like that in general. They returned emails within a day and were very nice about the whole thing. The units looked so well made. I was kinda disappointed for them not holding up. I was a Canon guy at the time and after two $400+ Canon flashed going down I wanted to try something more reasonably priced. Oh well, you try them until something works.

I have a 52 AF-1 for sale. I like it a lot but it does not work with my new Cactus V6 wireless remotes. Perhaps Cactus will update the firmware to work with it in the future but I need something that works now. I got it over the Pentax 540 because it was almost $150 cheaper. It is less than a year old. I have the box and all the original packaging including the blank warranty card.

Once I tried the touch screen a few times, I got a hang of it pretty quickly. It is a lot more powerful than the 44.
