The reason I did not mentined or even recommend modern primes is because of your budget limitation. I am older so manual focus lenses are more difficult for me to use in action situations. I have the three amigos and the Pentax 16-45, the sigma 10-20, the F50 macro and a bunch of manual 645, 67, M42 and other lenses. I use my three amigos almost exclusively unless I need something really wide or really long.

When I bought the the FA 31, 43 and the 77 about a year and half ago, my initial reaction was that the 43 was a useless focal length and as a result I never used it. I started to do some photos for a product catalog and later some personal work that called for the 43mm focal length or something close to it. After having used it for the last four months, it has now become my favorite lens of my entire lens collection.

It looks like your applications are close ups and medium tele for portrait work. If you can use manual focus lenses effectively and want better image quality, manual lenses are at bargain prices and just as good as modern lenses. For example, I lent my three amigos to my borther last year for a few months! I will never do that again. Meanwhile my borther-in-law asked me to do some portraits of their new born and the family. I ended up doing macro shots (babies feet, face close up, etc.) with my Pentax 120 macro from the 645 line up and my main shots were done with a Sear branded K-mount 50mm F2 lens. The images that I managed to get in focus while everyone was moving around were beyond my wildest expectation. Especially the Sears lens (perhaps a $20 lens at best). Pics were spectacularly sharp and with very little if any aberrations.

FYI, after I took the three amigos back from my borther, I recommended the Tamron 17-50 for him to photograph my nieces (ages 3 and 7 at the time) he later added the Pentax 50 1.8. He is super happy with both lenses. BTW he uses a Pentax k5IIs. He is not a pro by any means but I have seen lots of pro quality shots he has taken with the the two lenses.

The lenses you have listed are so different in their focal length and other key specs. Not knowing what subject you shoot or are most interested in, It is hard to make a recommendation.

If I had to have one lens and for an all-a-rounder, I would probably get a used Tamron 17-50 f2.8 and have some money left over for an accessory or two. If you want something longer, then the 55-300 might be the lens. Again it is hard to pinpoint what might be most useful for you unless you share more info about your shooting style and subjects of interest.
