I'm hoping for one soon(-ish) - which would be about a year from when I got my K30 as well. ;) I didn't get any kit lens, as I was focused on the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 for shooting the Milky Way. Turns out f/1.4 isn't good - because of lots of coma - so I stop that down and now have the Astrotracer. So I'm looking forward to the 18mm end of this lens, with the astrotracer, so the relative slowness won't matter.
Your branch photo is particularly lovely.
