No, here YOU go again.
It's incredible for me to say how obstinate some people are, they think to know how a Fujifilm minilab works better than the people who actually use them, and I wonder if they really have one at home or they are just talking ad vanveran...however this is the Takumar club and this is a shot taken with a 55mm f1.8 with my SPF:
I am a wealthy man so I spent few extra bucks for Portra 160.

I assume you are more proficient at using the Fuji Frontier than the people who develop the film for me.
So, if Gold is as good as Portra why people spend more money for the latter?

The scanner and developing lab is always the same, the film changes.

Yes I've seen some improvement in Gold 200 in the last year but still it works fine with direct light (a lot of light) otherwise the colours result dull.
This is Portra 160 in overcast conditions, SPF and Tak 50mm f1.4:
This should be Gold 200 in better lighting conditions: |

Usual combo SPF + Tak 50mm f1.4, with Gold 200...not a great film to be honest. ---------- Post added 10-06-15 at 11:54 AM ----------
This is a similar shot, but taken with a SMC Macro Takumar 50mm f4:
That's my Martin HD28V.

Some 50/1.4 bokeh, this is the last SMC version with 8 blades and rubber grip:
This is at f2.8:
This is at f1.4, sharpness of the subject in focus more or less the same, more dreamy bokeh:
Minimum depth of field at minimum focusing distance:
The problem for me with this lens is to be able to focus safely with a Spotmatic as this camera doesn't have the split screen image, but its smooth bokeh is beautiful IMO.

A lot of fun with a Spotmatic F, a SMC Macro Takumar, Fujifilm pro, and three exceptional models: a pair of Persol glasses, an Aurora fountain pen and a Porsche Design chrono from the 80s. |

Nice, I never noticed any swirly bokeh out of my 50 mm 1.4.
However here there are two shots taken with the 55mm f1.8 that I consider very representative of the pastel bokeh Taks are famous for, on other places they were much appreciated. |

SMC Tak 55mm f1.8 on my new to me (main thread here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/8-pentax-film-slr-discussion/300720-honey...er-1976-a.html) 1975 SPF:
Apologies for the triviality of the images but I wanted to test the camera and lens with a roll of Portra 160 and sometimes (like with the house) with a polarising filter.
IMO the Fifty Five Tak is one of the best standard lenses of its era: great sharpness from wide open, silky smooth bokeh, excellent colours, very flare resistent, top building quality that puts lenses like the Nikkor 50mm f2 AI and the Canon FD 50mm f1.8 to shame.
