She's probably going to carry the 28-80mm for this trip because I paid $1 for it. Of course, shipping was like $9. Still, if she screws up a $10 lens, I don't really care all that much.

For that, I mean something encompassing an "all in one" solution for my daughter to carry on trips. I don't mind lens switching. She is a beginner & I think carrying one lens for the day will be a good start. Something that starts at a wide-ish angle & goes through a long-ish end.

Ok! I got my new k-5ii. My daughter now has my K-x. Here's our lens line up:
DA L 18-55 kit lens
DA L 55-300 kit lens
FA 28-80 power zoom
FA 80-200mm
F 35-80mm
DA 35mm f2.4
DA 50mm f1.8
The F/FA lenses now reside with the K-x for my daughter's use. The kit lenses & primes are in my bag with my k-5ii. What I'm looking for is a wide-ish angle zoom to replace the 18-55 & maybe a "travel/vacation" longish zoom. What's reasonably priced? On the used market?
