I've visited 7 goodwill stores over the last 2 weeks and only one had a 35mm slr, it was a chinon with a 50mm f/1.x lens. I had my eyes set on bigger better things so I just let it go.
Wish i had the luck everyone else seems to have....lol

Oh come on! just one view? I wanna see the 3/4 overhead view! For some reason, seeing the dials is the most exciting part to me. Looks like you're taking to the 1.7 quite nicely. :yea:

Don't be surprised...I'm still very new to the whole "film" thing. I've heard much about the camera, and am afraid ithat's a body that is beyond my budget :-(

Frank, in regards to your bargain comment...i was recently emailing back and forth with a guy who had a craigslist ad up and he mentioned that "you pentax guys, you're always looking for a bargain." After browsing through these forums the past several weeks...i can see where one might get that idea.
Also, I absolutely love how the cameras appear to be floating. Wonderful shots. If you don't mind my ignorance, could you tell me what model that camera is? It looks beautiful and i'm sorry to say i've got about 7 film bodies but the only black one I have is my P3 (which i just bought 3 days ago along with an SF1 for $25)

Just got this and a couple of other lenses for free using Freecycle.org. Notice the lens that was attached to the camera :-)

Sometimes when browsing through the lens database I see that there are others viewing one category lens or another and wonder if they're preparing to bid on an item or not. Often times if i see something i like i'll take a look through the database beforehand.

Just picked this up last Tuesday. This is my first Film SLR, and I'm very excited about it. I bought this along with a 150mm prime and various accessories all in excellent condition and for only $40. seemed cheap to me, but maybe that's the going rate on this stuff. 150 mm f4 lens not shown because it's what I used to shoot the photo (attached to my samsung gx-1s)
