For nighttime photography you want red LEDs not blue LEDs. If you were to take this camera up to the annual Stellafane in Vermont (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stellafane) you and your blue LEDs would be booted off the property!!

guess they had a few leftover LEDs from the K-S1 and needed to put them to good use! :P
