As a recent poster experienced ... big challenges, as most of these were through wire fences.
Red Panda was 40' up tree .. waited ages for it to look in my direction.
Lots of fun though.
All taken with my Sigma 70-200 f2.8 EX DG .. first time I've used it for a while.

Anyone see the persons head / face on the right hand side water of the 'bridge' ? Almost looks as if 'he' is looking at a less clear one opposite.

Went out to play with my new D-FA100 but couldn't find much to take close ups of ... so grabbed a couple of sunsets. I know there have been a few, but I liked the silhouette of the trees and church against the rich clouded sky in this one.
The second I call mystery tunnel ... we had a full red sun down a very long straight path that looked like some fantasy door when cropped.
Also found some interesting ice shots ... all new territory for me.

Just a small selection from circa 1500 that I liked.
All lenses got some use. This was the first trip with the Sigma 10-20 which I love - it probably got used 40% of the time for indoor (National Trust etc) and landscape.
Cheers

Chuffed to see such crisp pictures with the 60-250 and 1.4TC combination. On the UK Pentax user site, just after I ordered my 1.4TC today (arrives tomorrow) I started to see some doubting its crispness and the benefit of 1.4x.
I'm finally sorted with tripod, 60-250, 1.4TC and remote control via the O-FC1 to do some nice birdy shots.
This would seem to suggest it does a great job.

Because of all the early questioning on sharpness, I switched off SR (have it selectable with fx button) except in AF.C (user mode 3 for me).
Haven't really checked for issues using it ... but haven't had shake issues ... that was really my point. I've held the K3 with 60-250 at circa 1 / 125 and picture has been crisp. Probably a fluke ... but in general I've had lots of very slow exposures without shake issues.

Hi all
Lots of family pictures I wouldn't normally share ... but so far, I have to say, I'm blown away by how easy it is to get good pictures out of this camera.
This picture of Tommy was taken with built in flash at 70mm with Sigma (f4) at ISO400.
Can't really appreciate detail when shrunk down from raw to such a tiny jpg ... but loving it.
Others taken with the DA*60-250 as slow as 1/10th (60mm) and 1/125 at 80mm without SR are staggeringly crisp (similar to the cat picture). I didn't think you could hold 2kg+ of lens and camera and shoot at those shutter speeds with any hope of a decent result.
Anyway ... off to Paris soon ... will takes some stills both hand held and with my new Benro TA II A2682TB1 and post them with links to full resolution copies.
Cheers
Paul.
