I do. KS1 + da 35 & da 50 serve me well for time being.
Hmm - i would say K1 original is by far a better tool for this. Astrophotography puts heavy emphasis on how do you use your noise reduction and unselective NR of accelerator chip is just a no go for a lot of astrophotographers. I know i want full control over my NR when i shot that milky way shoot. And i know i can get far better results hacking at a astro shot manually than any camera can with NR enabled.

Different people with different needs i guess - I take my camera for rock climbing, bicycle rides kayaking, really long walks trough country side - after 10km you really get to appreciate the lighter gear.

Yeh, but i needed to draw the line somewhere. 100g on top of KP and boom - one can get a FF DSLR. 600g is my line for better or for worse :)

Hmmm... i think a solution for me to buy a Fuji X-pro with a 23mm f1.4 lens and hope that parallax error wont bother me much to complement my KS1 with a set of small DAs :)

Hmmm.. well, my faw focal lengths are between 24 and 50 equivalent (16-35mm on a crop body) and I do like small lenses. That puts me in a strange position that for lenses a mirrorles system would be my choice, but for body itself a DSLR as I cant stand EVFs :D
Gah... Im thorn apart :D

Ok. The market shift is going to mirrorless now.
How that translates that up till recently ef-m system was best selling mirrorless system even tho most review sites trashed (yes dpr too) it and it has the least attractive lens lineup?

But bulk of canon sales are ef-s lenses and bodies. Not ef and rf. Even tho ef-s stuf ussualy gets reviewed as greatly inferior to its peers...

I just dont see that happening there. Canon cameras are constantly rated below Sony and Nikon at DPR yet Canon pushes more camera volume than Sony and Nikon together. Go figure :)

And that is just a bummer :(
Why not make a nice crop lens? They can be
Smaller and lighter (example 35mm f1.8 dx nikkor is 30% smaller than 35mm f1.8 fx one). Its the same story as with Nikon -"screw u crop users use ff lenses".
Yes i also think that 1.4s are an overkill. 23mm f1.8 would be more than adequate. Smaller and lighter too :)

Sadly i never caught that quote that they dont have interest in fast primes. Would have saved me a system switch and I would be happy bitching on Nikon forums for lack of DX primes as i have 0 interest in zooms and FF. That was the reason i jumped to Pentax as i had high expectations. Only lenses i own are DA 35 and DA 50 as i find they cover my needs. If there was a 23is f1.8 that isnt overly larhe i would be perfectly happy. Ye i konow there are some 24s f1.4-1.8s for Pentax but they are huge and would feel awkward on my KS1. Besides, if we look at Fuji 23mm 1.4 it shows that a fast moderatly wide lens doesnt have to be big and heavy

I find this statement of theirs mostly true and feel somewhat cheated by Pentax. Same as i did with Nikon when i switched to Pentax. Nikon was stating over a decade that their focus is on APS-C and when they introduced their FF line the development of crop lenses came to a stop. I see the same thing happening eith Pentax now. What bothers me the most is the lack of fast APS-C wide to ultra wide primes. A 35mm and 24mm equivalent fast DA primes would be most welcome.
And a bit better AF in low light :)

I find them quite good. Yes they miss here and there, yes they have personal preferences, but i do find them better then the other ones. Their recent focus on AF and video does put Pentax behind other brands, but i just skip those negative points, read the review and get to the conclusion by myself...
