I used a 10 stop ND to achieve slow shutter speeds on these two images. My goal was to smooth the water and sky, creating an almost deamy feeling.

Getting used to my new fat fifty. It took me a while to learn not to blow the focus point with the 1.4 thin dof, but now I'm enjoying working on subject isolation like this.

This bridge was built to haul logs during the hey day of timber cutting on western WA. Logging has slowed down and there are lots of roads now for log trucks. Train is no longer needed.
This is quite dangerous but people still walk out on it for a cheap thrill and a great view.[COLOR="Silver"]

Took a hike to an abandoned railroad trestle today. Here are a couple of images.
I am amazed at how sharp this lens can be; but when viewed in the PF site, it looses much of it's pop.

DFA 15-30. I am really liking this lens the more I use it and see the amazing details it captures during processing ---------- Post added 06-26-16 at 10:03 PM ---------- Wow Kamps. You are doing some very nice work with the 15 - 30.
I have had one for a couple weeks but am just now getting to put it to use. It is a very fun lens, and, paired with the K1, can capture some amazing images.
Keep it up.

I had some free time this morning to shoot some old barns near my place.
The mid-day light was harsh but it was fun putting the 15-30 through some various tests. It seems like this lens has a lot to offer once one takes time to get to know it.

I took my K1 and new 24-70 on a day hike along the Lewis River in SW Washington.
Here are a couple of my best images from that hike.

I am totally pleased with my K1.
Compared to my K3ii I notice better dynamic range, having to take fewer hdr. Better low noise at medium iso. I used to always shoot at 100 iso, Now I begin at 400 and find no noise. And better low light performance, meaning I don't need fill flash as often.
Here are 2 images I wanted to share.
First one was with my amazing 15 - 30 and the second was with my super sharp 24-70.

Wow K-amps. You really know how to make that 15-30 dance. I'm thinking of buying one. Do you have any reservations on its sharpness or performance in general. I seems a bit large.
Thx

Hi KENGOH-- I was wondering you opinion how how well the da 300 stacks up IQ-wise against the DFW 150-45- @ $300. I cant afford both, and am leaning towards the 150-450.
Thoughts?
