In my opinion, yes, unless these limitations give you pause:- You may get a strong gradient effect in the sky under certain circumstances.
- A non-slim filter will intrude on the image circle (but not the central APS-C area normally occupied by the sensor; using Composition Adjust to its maximum potential will cause near-black corners).
I have not tried to penetrate reflective surfaces with my DA 15, so I cannot speak for this use case, but I assume it would work very well.
These four samples were all shot with a B&W CPL filter on the SMC DA 15 Ltd: The gradient effect is quite subtle here.
Very little gradient effect, but extreme vignetting because I shifted the sensor all the way up to correct for converging lines. The upper left corner is not cropped and represents a worst-case scenario with my filter.
Strong gradient effect; camera pointing away from sun.
Very strong gradient effect; sun just below horizon on the left.
Edit: another reason to get one is that the 49 mm filter thread is shared with the first three M-series lenses in your signature, every other DA Limited, the DA 50-200, many FA primes, and every macro lens currently made by Pentax.

Never tried f/13 before. It really does seem to be a sweet spot for starburst, more so than f/11 or f/16. Joke's on me for shunning "in-between" aperture values, I guess. The alternating colour temperature of the floodlights caught my eye.

That's the outline of the lens hood. Retracting it slightly will get rid of most of the vignetting; I tend to forget this myself...

Your images are consistently excellent.
'Picnic' in English. As a Dane, seeing it written with 'k' instead of 'c' feels a bit awkward; I shall not here elaborate on the meaning of the Danish work 'pik'...

I've discovered the main weakness of this lens, I think (took me long enough). When using the composition adjustment feature to its maximum potential, corner performance falls flat on its face - even at f/16 they're blurred to the point they can't really beconsidered in-focus. There's also visible purple fringing on occasion. Oh, and I have to retract the hood by a few mm to minimise vignetting.
Of course, I still love it to bits and worship it like a deity... |

Not a great shot, but I thought I'd share it anyway now that I finally put my CPL filter to use. As far as I could tell, this sky was white.
Seems to smudge the hell out of that starburst, though. Perhaps I should clean it...

I should have been clearer, and perhaps more clearly tongue-in-cheek: I know the SMC 15mm Ltd. is starbursttastic, but the other flaring (visible on the rider's thigh and in a line from his wrist to his knee) seemed unusually strong to me. As we all know, The One Wide-Angle Lens is immune to such shenanigans. :p
But then again, I haven't yet shot directly into the sun on a clear blue sky, so maybe my own photos simply happen to mask the aberrations. I also haven't shot against the sun in freezing temperatures, and I suppose the lens could easily mist up a little going from warm to cold air.

Those super fat Surly tyres are the most interesting thing to happen in the cycling business for a very long time, electric assist be damned.
Edit: How did you get the 15mm Ltd. to flare like that? :p

I have a B+W CPL filter of medium thickness, and with it the lens no longer covers the APS-H image circle, meaning there will be black corners if the sensor is shifted significantly (via shake reduction or composition adjust). The edge of the filter extends beyond the corner cut-outs in the lens hood. I wouldn't expect to be able to stack filters on the 15mm Ltd. without intruding into the APS-C image circle.

Midnight train. Of my few long exposures, this is the only one I like so far. Severely underexposed, but the raw file brightened up nicely.
