It's difficult to have neighbor cats that are well fed by owners and bird feeders. The neighbor's cat across the street visits my yard for at least 1/3 to 1/2 Of every day. It is a beautiful sleek friendly amusing black cat. It has a terrible habit of sitting my porch directly in front of the locked screen door or window in plain view of my two dogs who then bark incessantly for the duration of the cats presence. It just silently grooms itself in plain view whilst the dogs are having a meltdown inside. For them it's 'Cat TV' for me I'm happy I'm slightly deaf. The rest of the time they race through the house to the back doggie door to bark at the cat on whichever side of the house it has moved to or even totally across the street. Since there are 5 or 6 different neighborhood cats that enjoy my yard 'birdie' sanctuary that I have created it's an everyday chaos with the dogs barking at cats and cats sleeping under bird feeders. Although I must say since the presence of the cats I have no more problem with mice trying to move into the house for the winter or trying to escape the summer heat. Those birdies are brave.

squirrel baby is running around raiding the bird feeders now so I put out a special one just for the squirrels now. They are enjoying it. They don't run away as fast anymore when I walk outside. There is a Mama and two young 'uns now.

I hope baby squirrel is ok too, from what I figure it fell about 15'-20' from the nest. Will be watching for them now. Guess I need to read up on squirrels.

While photographing the birds I see a squirrel dash down the tree, do a frantic dash over and around several large potted plants, it then picked up something from behind a clump of plants and quickly went back up the large pine. At first I thought it was carrying a large pine cone but upon further inspection..... Wow baby fell out of nest and needed rescued!
