This is a good idea and something we should have suggested earlier.
Although suggesting other lenses for you to buy was also fun! Have you considered the old Sigma Super-Wide II AF? I believe it would be an awesome walk-about lens on crop and have wished Pentax would put something like it into production for a while now. Also the F or FA 28 f2.8 primes fit this bill as well. Probably should buy all three of these!

I did a little addition and Norm says he heads out with nearly 5 pounds of just lenses with that combination of three zooms and two primes. That... seems excessive.
Sticking with my suggestion of taking the 10-17FE and 18-135 and that's it. But I like things simple.

Are you wanting a three lens kit on this trip or just two? If two, why not just run the 10-17 and 18-135? If three, I guess the 21, as it occupies a spot longer than the 10-17 and the 18-135 doesn't really come into its own until around 24mm. The 10-17 seems to remove need to carry a 15.
