Walking "Sentiero degli dei" on the Amalfi coast. Shot using Pentax 645N and 33-55mm zoom at 33mm, both f9.5 and 1/90. Scanned at 4000 dpi on a Microtek 120TF. I had to desaturate a bit, actually, as Ektar 100 + polarizer gives very saturated colors. From previous experience Ektar is almost useless with skintones, but it works with landscape, as long as there are no people close up! 2016-10-21-0002 by dagr, on Flickr 2016-10-21-0003 by dagr, on Flickr

From a recent sailing trip. Using the 645N with the 33-55mm and 55-110mm zooms with a few shots with the 200mm prime. I feel the 33-55mm/55-110 combo has been underrated. Very sharp and useful, at least on film, and not too heavy. The below shots are all 33-55mm @ 33mm. 28 by dagr, on Flickr 35 by dagr, on Flickr 38 by dagr, on Flickr 40 by dagr, on Flickr

Testing the 120mm A on my 645N - very sharp, and cheap - about $ 160! Feel like I'm finally getting the colors I want from the scanner... 4000 dpi scan on Microtek 120 TF.

Actually I bought a Beattie screen with a split-screen for the GS-1, which was very bright (and expensive!). However, I felt my focus was even worse after I installed it - maybe the screen/camera needed some fine tuning to make the focus perfect (even when the split-screen lined up, focus seemed off on the negatives). I might get a new GS-1 in the future, they are quite cheap, but will send it directly to a shop for adjustment. All in all it's a great camera - much lighter and usable than the RZ 67, in my view :)

My Bronica GS-1 6x7 was sadly stolen while travelling in Indonesia. I had some problems with focusing it though, as the DOF with tele-lenses is just too small, and decided my next camera would have autofocus. Just got my Pentax 645N, which compared to the alternatives seemed an absolute bargain. This is Portra 160 scanned at 4000 dpi on a Microtek Artixscan 120tf. Quality is fantastic, but then this is medium format, after all!
