Dating from 1904, this steel viaduct carries the Lucernemines branch of the Baltimore & Ohio RR over the Two Lick Creek valley near Homer City, PA. The structure is still in use by its owner, Kovalchick Salvage.

Unfortunately, these stations, like many others, are built from pre cut parts kits and set up on the ground with no foundation,
Woodchucks have undermined tow corners and the building is setting into the ground.

Built in 1883 and concrete faced in the 1960's, the former Pennsylvania Railroad stone arch bridge over the Conemaugh River in Johnstown, PA, still carries upwards of forty Norfolk Southern trains every day. DA*16-50/2.8 & KP

Three miles south of Indiana Pennsylvania, a former Baltimore & Ohio RR trestle crosses US 119 and Two Lick Creek. Most of the trestle was built in 1904, the heavy plate girder center section was added in 1959 when the new, four lane US 119 was constructed. Now owned by a large salvage company and used to access its nearby facilities, it sees occasional traffic.

Indiana county, my home, has three of the last coal fired electricity generating stations in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Combined, they produce enough electricity to power over six million homes on the New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Rhode Island grid.
Sunday, June 5th, 2022, all three stations were shut down, two for maintenance, one due to coal supply issues.
