Here are some photos taken with the lens on my K-1 The gate photo is straight out of camera jpeg and was taken directly into the sun. The fungus will be a non-issue in all but extreme photos like this example. LOVE the colors. I made a dedicate lens hood from an $11 Amazon one that has a screw on ring, and the hood snaps onto it.

I am a very, very conscientious seller. I don't appreciate sellers who use inaccurate or untruthful item descriptions. It is worth my not receiving the $85 this seller tried to bribe me with so that my comment and Neutral feedback stay on his ebay rating.

A "Top Mint" FA 20-35/4. No Fungus..
YES FUNGUS. Seller offered me $85 off if I would change my rating from Neutral to Positive. Guess what, that isn't going to happen. Besides, the Seller has to send a request through eBay asking for a link to the feedback to be sent to the buyer. They didn't do that, just a message.
K-1

Anyhow, I tested the lens on my K-1 and it performed very well, and for the price, it isn't worth spending $40 to ship it back. I black light treated it for thirty hours. Less visibility of the fungus and it should be dead. Hope the seller learns something from my "Neutral" fedback

Certainly the 24, 28, 35, 85 and 135 aren't my favorites on APS-C, also wanting to give the Takumar 17 Fisheye, and Auto Takumar 35/2.3 a try.

I am anticipating the Friday arrival of my new, used K-1 purchased on marketplace from dronegeek. I need NOTHING in apsc gear, so I scratched the full frame itch I've had for two years. I'll be giving the old A series and Takumar glass a proper workout once the K-1 arrives.

PENTAX Eyepiece Magnifier FB 30990 for 35mm / Digital . eBay. VERY hard to find, late model with the plastic mount.
I also bought multiple OE Pentax lens and body caps from another eBay seller. 1980's stuff to replace missing caps.

Wow! You got the nearly unobtainable tripod mount foot with it. Someone will likely PM you wanting to buy that for their copy.

Asahi Pentax K "King" and 55/1.8 Auto Takumar "zebra" Japan seller dropped the price just enough for me to hit buy.
My current K has very worn shutter curtains and a pretty ugly viewfinder. Also, the 55/1.8 included should be in much better mechanical condition than the copy I now own. Now the wait for it to arrive from Japan.

The Sigma 10-20 is a very capable lens, and a bargain used. You will enjoy making images with it.

The Q-7 with 08 Wide zoom is much smaller and lighter than the equivalent wide angle APSC or full frame lens alone. My K-3iii with the 150-450 or DA*300 and Q-7 to quickly cover any close or wide needs without putting away the big lens rig.

My Pentax Q collection will grow to four with the black with brown "leather" Q-7 I just ordered from KEH in Excellent condition for $169. The only Q I regularly use is my silver with black Q-7, and I've been looking for another Q-7 at a fair price. The crop factor on the original Q and Q-10 limit their use with anything but telephoto lenses and the Q-7 definitely has better IQ. The Q-S1 is overpriced and feels cheap.

Received the HD 40/2.8 LTD from Adorama today. Shown here on my KP. Graded "Very Good", the lens is nearly PERFECT. I've already posted my quick test run pics with it and the KP on this forum. I now have the 15/21/35macro/40/70 Limited set. Mixed 15/35/40 are HD, 21 and 70 are SMC. Now, to leave the16-85 at home and use the primes!

Adding to my collection to match my all silver body Asahi Pentax m-42 and K collection- The K-5 Limited Edition Silver and then an HD 40/2.8 LTD Silver because it needs a silver lens to go with it.. I am certifiable as a Pentax GAS addict..

Pre Black Friday deals from Adorama and BH Photo have drained my discretionary funds. Two Flashpoint L-ion flashes, a transmitter and accessories kit from Adorama. From BH Photo, Large and medium Peak Designs storage inserts, a used BC-177 battery charger kit, two new Pentax D-Li90 batteries (not on sale), and a couple of miscellaneous items.

PROBLEM- The used Pentax BC-177 fast charger kit came with the usb-c power brick and both cables, however, whoever originally returned this to B&H pulled a fast one- they kept the usb-c powered BC-177 battery holder/charger and sent back the old BC-90 slow charger which pugs directly into the AC cord! So, no fast charging. I am awaiting a reply from BH Customer Service, as I am NOT paying return shipping on a screw up on their part.

I gambled on a *ist DS 2 listed as "Excellent condition, but non-working due to Memory Card Error" Non returnable, of course. The camera is super clean, unfortunately, what I hoped was incompatibility with an SDHC card due to firmware was impact damage at the card door latch. The plastic casing under the door switch was broken. There is a microswitch mounted at that point which tell the camera to not write to the card if the door switch is in the unlatched position. A break there rendered that contact useless. Oh well. I tore it down and will have some spare parts to list. .

Horrible timing for my bank account, however, I swore that the first time this item came up for sale, complete, for under $400 it would be mine:Pentax AF-160FC Ring flash FINALLY, I have P-TTL macro flash. Got it here on Marketplace. I think it will almost permanently live on my D FA 100/2.8 WR macro.

The Macbook Pro's multicore processors and 64 MB of fast RAM have reduced processing times using Topaz AI, Topaz Gigapixel AI and Topaz Sharpen & Denoise on DNG RAW files from my KP and K-3iii from 25 seconds to nearly five minutes on my 24 GB iCore 7 3.2 GHZ iMac to instantaneous ~ 20 seconds on the MacBook. Also, adding frames and complex layers in Photoshop Elements 2023 often bogged or locked-up the iMac. No such issue on the new one. I am waiting for my Luna Display dongle ($92 with tax and shipping) to arrive so I can use the 27 inch 5K Retina display of the iMac instead of the 16 inch Macbook. All of my software either transferred successfully or was downloaded and installed successfully, which impressed me. Mac to Mac setups are easy.

I've been editing my photos on a late 2015, 3.2 ghz Intel Core i7 4 core 27 inch 5K Retina iMac with 24 GB ram since 2016.
The awesome display is still awesome, the performance with modern editing software? S-L-O-W, especially Topaz AI.
The final update from Apple for this series computer came in February.. So, I have been watching deals. ADORAMA and BH both had screaming deals on 14 and 16 inch Macbook Pro MI late 2021 units.. Then I get an email of a special buy on custom built Macbooks from Adorama.. Man I will miss that 27 inch display, however, the blistering fast M1 Max chips and 64 GB of RAM should drop processing times from minutes to seconds.. Price $1900 off original.

K-3iii set arrived yesterday morning. Exactly as described. Brand new- i took two shots and then checked the shutter count: 2. Test outing went well. BIG learning curve compared to my pair of KP's.
