Rather sad to have to move S/R during movie mode to the non Pentax forum.

Exactly. For me the A6000 is my likely target, although no doubt they'll eventually release an APS-C sensor stabilised item.

That's fine, except where Sony are doing it right, you might want to take notice of those parts. Like stabilisation in video mode that actually works. Now I haven't seen any info on this, but I'm willing to go out on a limb and suggest that it's likely to give better results than the Ricoh/Pentax 'Movie SR' mode does.
Personally for me I think a hybrid Optical/EVF viewfinder is worth a look. I like what FF can offer, but I don't necessarily need it. A viewfinder that worked in video mode would be appealing to me.
By the way, I saw this: You Tube |

Pentax have been using sony sensors for years, but I know where you are coming from.
I've had limited experience with Sony cameras, other than a Sony Action Cam HDR-AS15 model that I'm now selling for a GoPro Hero 4 Silver. The image quality was quite average on the Action Cam but they did release a very powerful firmware upgrade at a much later date. This aspect seems to be uncommon with Sony, and the main point of concern for most buyers is that there always seems to be something better quite close around the corner with Sony, and they don't seem to fold new features back to older models. Fuji is apparently quite super at doing this, so you feel like they've got your back.
An example would be (Assuming the hardware is actually capable of this) the A5100 model gets the newer XAVC-S video format, but the A6000 doesn't. It reads as if Sony are deliverately holding back on rolling this back out because an A7000 is rumoured to be in production/to be released soon. No idea if that's true, but it's an example.
I haven't heard of any major problems or faults with the Sony gear though recently? Just that they've gone crazy developing stuff all over the bloody place!

Regardless of the specifics, Sony have produced a sensor stabilised FF weather resistant camera with inherent lens compatibility with legacy lenses from multiple vendors via cheap adapters.
That's pretty much Pentax's pitch from years gone by, now offered by someone else.
Hello Pentax? Where are you?

I'm not reading anything here is that says they are doing video right? Yes it's a solid weather sealed stills camera.
