To be fair,
Put the motor and a grip on the LX, and you're in the same ball park,
But the F5 is a generation or two past the LX, LX and the F3 are the comparable contemporaries.

Wow, There is a hood for it?
I never knew,
When I found it used, in a swap meet/sale, mine just came with front and rear caps. Both plastic at that, looks like a nice metal front cap you have for yours.

Interesting mod for the strap on the grip, not sure I'd care for that in the way.
I always liked how the camera hung "sideways" using both of the lugs on the left side, when you had the grip on. It's the same way I have all my DSLRs now, with a hand strap on the grip side.
Looks like it's in great condition, hope the insides are still good in it for you. And with a 50/1.4? ---------- Post added 01-12-24 at 05:30 PM ----------
Interesting how much they changed the front ring,
Don't think they ever did anything to the optical design itself.
I guess mine's older from the serial number? I bought it used, but still in the film era, late '80s or early '90s.
Been fun to play with, nothing fancy on APSc, but I have an adaptor to use it with my Fuji GFX50R, while it vignettes pretty bad at full frame, it's nice in the pano mode,

Or by Ricoh for Pentax?
Or by a third party for both?
Interesting find, certainly the same DNA present there.
I've got a set of the auto tubes from about this same time, and they look identical in fit, finish, etc.

I've got one of those, have shot a bit with it, but it's just a show piece now,
Came with my Wife, was one of the side benefits of marrying another photographer

Gotta do something with all those spools,
Think your P67 worked better, the Hassy is getting lost in the spools, ---------- Post added 11-13-23 at 05:06 PM ----------
Looks like nice clean copies of both, nice lighting on them too,
Is that a custom grip on the LX or the A?? I have the B in mine,

Nice copy of the SMC-A*400ƒ2.8 ED(IF). Exterior is marked up a bit, and trunk case is showing wear, but the glass is all clean, and it's sharp. Need to sharpen up my manual focus skills on the K3III, but seems like a good addition to my stable.
Put my MX on it, so it's legal in the this thread.
My oldest and newest, & smallest and biggest Pentax pieces.
A shot out back to my feeders, questionable light, and through a window, K3III |

Like lenses, you can never have too much extension, add them on either end of the bellows!

I've got that 50mm packed away somewhere,
Like the PolyContrast Filters in your composition there too,
Looks like the Kodak set, I think I had/have a Beseler set somewhere.

Was the meter of choice when I was at Brooks Inst. in the 1980s, was part of the recommended kit.
Simple, durable, reliable, no battery to worry about.
I really got used to the linear display, and being able to "see" minute variations in light with it.
I've still got mine packed away with other legacy gear.
About the only down side to them was not very sensitive in low light, but fine in just about any daylight or studio (continuous source) situation.
The other thing that used to drive me nuts about them, is they came with a very long neck cord which many folks left long, they would swing around and knock into things, damaging either the meter or the other object.
I cut mine off short so it could be looped around my wrist when needed,

I need to bookmark this post so when I get grief for how many cameras I have, I can say, "Still, could be worse..."
Two very impressive shots, of a nice collection,

boy do I miss walking into those. Rarely found much, but was so much fun looking and talking with the staff
