It's the Wolfgangsee (=Lake Wolfgang) in Austria. It belongs partly to the states of Salzburg and Upper Austria.
The whole region is called Salzkammergut.

Rain certainly helps with the greens.
As I shoot Raw exclusively I post process every image and rarely compare undeveloped images, therefore I can't really tell how great the impact of the kit lens is on the colors either :o

The DA-L 18-55mm WR might not be the sharpest lens, but it is a highly reliable and light option for hiking in bad weather.

One could argue that it is, but I think the primary target of thit club are all 18-55mm variants and maybe also the newish 18-50mm lens
