I've asked this previously, but please bear with me. I am trying to have greater understanding. In your opinion would you prefer the Sigma 100-300 F4 which is generally fine wide open or the 150-450 which seems to be not very good until F8. I'm not thinking in terms of focal length at the moment but rather overall sharpness and IQ. If you could only have one and a teleconverter down the road .
I'm going through this debate because I currently have the Sigma and the matching TC, but I may be forced to sell it to balance some fnancial things here at home. I have a few other things I could sell, but the Sigma will move the fastest. My concern is that I will be giving up something irreplaceable as the Sigma is rarely for sale. Is the 150-450 an improvement or at the very least just as good. Please give as much details as you can. I really haven't seen any side to side comparisons of the two. I've been following this and the other 150-450 thread since they started in the Spring.

Nice shots. Are you carrying it using a strap connected to the collar?

vcollerp, I thoroughly enjoyed browsing through your flickr pages. I noticed how sharp your subjects are and how clean your backgrounds looked. Can you describe (briefly is better than not :)) your workflow? Also when you take 1000 images in a day how do you decide which ones to keep when 98% are in focus? Thats a lot of decision making. Thanks

How does the Safari flash extender compare with the Better Beamer? They seem to be the same prices on ebay.ca.
Also are you guys using X sync speed or HSS? I really like the feather detail and catch lights I see with t he flash, but is there any concern about flat front lighting? I guess if you had a "bird studio" you could set u off camera flashes for nice side lighting. I guess you could throw gels on to simulate golden hour too.

I've nearly run out of toys to exchange sadly. I'm currently eyeballing the freezer... the dog.. the car... Do we really need this house? The little critters are outside and the lens is AW afterall.

How does it compare to the Sigma 100-300f4? w/ or w/o 1.4x TC
