I got a Really Right Stuff BH-55 ballhead. Used but in excellent condition. It replaced the Markins M10 on my tripod.
Got the BH-55 at a crazy low price. It's way bigger than the Markins. Is it better? So far both ballheads perform really well for my needs. The RRS & Markins are able to handle a 300/2.8 lens.

Interesting side note. I somehow got onto RRS' email list. I must have put myself on 20 years ago and they started sending me stuff in the last year. They seem to have gotten into heads & clamps for guns and other firearms.

A 4 section carbon fiber tripod for my 18 year old son. It's a brand called Sirui and it came with a ballhead, but I'm interested in the legs. I've purchased a Markins ballhead to go with it for him. Part of his grade 12 graduation present.
My 21 year old made off with my original Feisol 4 section triopod + first Markins M10 ballhead.
