You stated the following "Hoya and Ricoh both have gathered all the Pentax technology that they wanted and will soon tire of the Pentax name...."
I was just curious where you gathered that information you are basing your opinion on, I'm not trying to disagree with you but am genuinely interested how you came to that conclusion.:)
Wow, so you would let the lack of one specific lens cause you to jump ship to another brand? Does your livelihood depend on that lens? Just curious.:)

So you have no concrete evidence of what you said.....just a "feeling"? Ever hear of craftsman tools bought by Black and Decker as Sears was going belly up but they are an Iconic brand so the name remains after the buyout. Pentax is an Iconic brand also, I expect they will be around for quite a while. BTW, just a "feeling" I have.;):)

I find it works best with my K-3 to catch them coming in for a landing or taking off. Then squeeze off a buffer filler.

Sometimes It gets really difficult to differentiate one from the other without a facial expression and voice inflection.

All of that is going to be a very tall order considering they probably have finalized the design or it may be in production now.

Now where in the heck did you get that? No one ever said that. I happen to like the K-3/K-3II form factor and I have a good many perfectly fine APS-C K-Mount lens and I see no reason I need to change to a K-1. I try to take photos daily with my K-3, so no I will not stop just because no camera is released soon. Why should it bother you that some people chose to want a APS-C format Pentax DSLR model rather than buying a K-1/K-1II? Inquiring mind want to know.

If those are the features then count me as a definite buyer. The KP is an excellent camera but I decided early on that it just doesn't have the ergonomics I'm used to or looking for in my next DSLR.
