What post are you replying to? The battery pack you are referring to is commonly called a battery grip. Battery grips do not make the camera bigger if you don't use them, what they do is facilitate easier handling of the camera in portrait orientation and can supply extra power when the battery is inserted. They are very useful in certain shooting situations. Some camera kits are supplied by retailers with a battery grip but I don't think you will see a new Pentax camera in the form factor of the earlier K1.
