October crossing, Georgian Bay. On board the MS Chi-Cheemaun, between South Baymouth, Manitoulin Island, and Tobermory:
Looks calm, but there was enough of a swell rolling that you could feel the ship riding it. Winds were strong enough that I was unable to overcome my irrational fear of being blown overboard when I was going around the corner of the leeward side of the deck, just below the bridge.

I've always been fascinated by the "shadow in the sky" effect that a contrail produces when lit from below by a setting or rising sun against other clouds. Nice capture!

The horse made me think of the paintings in Lascaux.
The pigeon wasn't really fair, or obvious. It's that dark speck in the sky trying to pass itself off as sensor dirt, which is what I thought it was at first. Here's a closer look at it:
