As stated here: http://neilvn.com/tangents/post-processing-workflow-deal-color-banding-photographs/

QuoteQuote:

It is caused by the 8-bit JPG not having enough data to give you a smooth gradient when large blocks of color slowly change. You’ll often see it in the blue sky in landscapes, or as in this case, with large areas of color in the background.

You can just use manual F settings, no need for AV mode (it mostly over exposures). Insert focal length and go. But what you do mean under term "exposure flicker" exactly?

My personal experience was in june-july with 20-33 degrees Celsius and i can not call this cold weather for sure.
I have used about 12 different pentax and non-pentax lenses on same camera, some of them also fully manual older ones. No other lens have had any issue with my previous K-30 camera.

I had samyang 85mm, and sent it back to shop disrupting contract while it was still in first 2 weeks.
On my K-30, it was incredibly sharp, but... there was very disappointing issue with aperture.
Lens could take some 20-500 frames very well, then suddenly it did not understood aperture anymore. For example you shoot with F10 and ISO 100 at summertime, and you previous shots were with normal exposure, but next ones are completely dark or completely overexposed, without changing anything in camera settings. Reason was - aperture stuck or in wide open or completely closed-overriding manual settings. I do not know, was it because bad fit of lens or lens contacts... but issue happened repeatedly, did not resolve by reinserting lens properly and nothing but turn of camera, take out battery and start up anything again to fix aperture issue. It,s not funny if you sneaked in rampant for while to caught someone rare onto frame previously. Too much wasted time to set it back in business again, and some lost 30-frames while you got this done.

In AV mode, it's pain in ass as too sensitive to light source changes, overexposes mostly. I tend to shoot manual all time, so i prefer to stay out any "auto" settings most of time.
Lens has long learning curve even without those issues - not exactly easy to use lens. I do not say, do not buy it... but it may cause more troubles than some other option -distagon perhaps :))).

Optically, if good copy, perfect lens, no CA, no any vignetting but also sensitive to flares, in-lens artifacts. Aperture blades do not have anything close to star-effect like you can see with smc DA15 limited or even with sigma 8-16. Good, but not exceptional bockeh. Makes you run a lot- and i mean a lot. Don't mind you can always step back or forward. With this lens, those steps may be more than 30 meters back or forward, depending your object nature, and sometimes your road may be restricted. Also, if moving is possible - 20-meters means a lot of objects you didn't mind to get into your shot.

In brief, be warned and use at your own risk - it can take very good pictures and it can make troubles too. For most of city -too narrow POV, for most of portraits - too long lens.

With any samyang, prepare to use ND filters. Any direct and bright light can create big problems without that.

I may be not right, but in my opinion those greens are not result of google but "pentax understanding of color in landscape program mode". if you look custom picture color profiles- greens, yellow and blue are overexposed for forest and landscape programs in SCN dial and greens+magneta in vibrant mode by default. Every SCN mode uses some of those custom color profiles (one can fine-tune them)

Reason why i most shoot in manual and natural color with my K-30

I think that the reason is marketing in different countries.
First factor is market size.
Second factor is customs, VAT and import pricing.
In EU you pay 20% from item (price + shipping price) to customs in range of 20-150 EUR
Everything more expensive is considered separately in customs and salaries are even more pricy. You have to have CE labeling and etc.
Altogether, it makes me no wander why rokinon- (brand name for US market) is more cheap than anything branded for EU.

It's easier to sell something on big market, volumes are higher, more local dealers, more sells. This all counts to import and cost for consumer. Most (if not all) of those lenses are made in korea factory. Its third party country for EU and US too, but EU custom rates are much higher than US ones.
Also directives you need to fulfill for import are different. Long story short EU makes it quite hard for Asian countries to enter markets, and markets in Europa are much smaller because divided by countries. They have some kind coverage in UK, sell in Poland And under different name in Germany.
