Good luck to her. That tends to be quite an easy recovery compared with other joint replacements. I suspect it will be a relief to have it done.

Since I sent the K-1 back and determined to make APSC work for now I acquired my long desired DA* 55 f1.4...

Here's a sample shot from today:

I occasionally use my DA limiteds on my gx-1 but I prefer them on the gx-7. My adapter is similar to yours and really solid and heavy; good in that it won't flex and will support larger lenses, but I'd love a lighter version with aperture control for the times I want to use a DA limited on my m43.

Yes he's already sent me a tracking number, but I'm really looking forward to having it here so it seems interminable that he can't just wish it here instantly. LOL.

Purchased an FA 50 1.4 from Riverscooter - now just on pins and needles waiting for it to arrive since it will ship today! I have an F 50 f/1.7 already but I have always wanted to play with the FA 50 1.4 of this era. From what I have seen it will be softer until about f/2.5 or 2.8 and then it will be equal or better. The softness at f1.4 is actually appealing to me however for specific uses. So Time will tell but I suspect I will sell the F 50 since it will be hard to justify keeping.

The downside to sawstop is false positive activations and the fact that it destroys the blade in the process as I understand. Many high end woodworking blades are rather pricey and after a few false positives there is a lot of grumbling. Using good technique and making sure to use jigs and pushers and such will keep fingers away from blades.

Both are 3D. One simply has two dimensions that are the same due to the shape. One could by the logic given say ludicrous things like a sphere is a 1D object which is clearly wrong.

I was underwhelmed by the Pentax 500 f4.5 when I had one. It was the m42 version with a permanent m42/K adapter on it and I always felt it was too soft. I shot some moon stuff but the 300mm f4.5 with the f1.7x extender seemed better. But there is no denying it is a big lovely bit of metal and glass.

My grandmother knocked her second husband back down the basement stairs with a cast iron skillet when he had been drinking and made remarks like he was going to get abusive. (Family lore says...) He supposedly avoided drinking after that...

I own the HD 70 and FA 77, my dad had acquired the 70 new a few years ago and before he gave up his k3 and lenses to me I got a brand new FA 77. Both are excellent.

Have you thought about making a good from step rings more like the DA 40 type? It would be more street friendly.

Sewing is great. My mother taught me but I'm still not very good due to lack of practice. I sewed a few parachutes when I was flying more rockets.

The hot shoe adapters have previously had poor alignment - too sloppy - but for what you are doing it seems to work.

Or the lens itself with all glass and aperture removed? maybe a nice helicoid tube can be made from it?
