I've spent the past week in Nara and Osaka - my first time in the Kansai region, despite all the time I've spent in Japan. For some reason they stand to the right on escalators there.
Anyway, M4/3 made my trip so easy - being able to carry the two GF bodies, wide-normal and tele zooms and a fast prime without even noticing it all being in my bag is really making me question why I am bothering to maintain an APS-C system.

It rained all morning and most of the afternoon today, which meant that it was one of those lovely evenings when the rain has lifted and the sun hangs low in the sky. Salarymen rushed out of their offices towards the bars and taxis plied their trade in Nishiki San-chome.

Parts of the Minato Mirai development, snapped with the GF7 and 12-32 when I was on my way to CP+ last week. Indie music nerds will recognise the ferris wheel (Cosmo Clock 21) as the one underneath which James Dean Bradfield stands in the Manic Street Preachers' Motorcycle Emptiness video.

A shot from yesterday that I could only have got with M43 equipment - there's no way I'd have had a tele zoom on my SLR at this point, but the incredible light weight and wide open sharpness of the 35-100mm and the GF7 made snapping this ultra-cute scene a piece of cake. The more I use these little cameras and lenses the more I love them.

The Sigma 60mm f2.8 Art doesn't immediately sound like a useful lens - tele focal length, no IS, covered by any number of zooms - but I have to say that I've really come to love it for street photography. It's just the right amount of tele to be out of the way and stay candid, especially with a little camera like the Panasonic GF series, f2.8 is still nice and sharp and enough to offer up some decent bokeh at 60mm, and image quality itself is very good, with little to no fringing and nice crisp rendering. And it's cheap! Recommended.

Does anyone here have experience with the Panasonic 14-140? I'm planning on some travelling in my spring break and want to go as light as possible. As much as I love my Pentax kit, the GF7 is great for excursions - I just forget it's around my neck, it's so light.

This with GF7, 12-32.
