Picked up an old P30 in a charity shop today, which came with something called a 'Profile Zoom 35-70mm' on it, so full of fungus and covered in blotchy coatings that it was never going to be anything other than an experiment. So I put it on the K-01 and had a go. The dodgy coatings and fungus lend it a glow which comes out nicely in black and white, so it's not a failure. Quite fun, to be honest, and when the sun comes out it might be nice for that 'dreamy' effect. |

Came with a Miranda MS-3 my girlfriend picked up for me in a charity shop because she knows I like old cameras. Both it and the camera are Cosina made and were also Vivitars, I think. Anyway, for an 80s standard zoom this thing is knockout. I'll let the photos (one about 50mm, one 'macro', on an Olympus E-510 with a mount adapter) speak for themselves. |
