Thank you! Looking back at it makes me want to take that lens out again.

When you hit the sweet spot of that 105, it's really good, though. This is the original pre-set one on a Spotmatic F, Agfa Vista 200 (Fujicolor 200), probably f4 or f5.6. This copy looks as old as it is and the front element is cleaning marked beyond belief, but it still takes lovely photos. Maybe it just works great on film? I don't think I've ever used it on digital. |

What a brilliant find! Interesting bokeh and lovely colours, what a combination. Something tells me I'll have to get my hands on one of these...

Jean, that's gorgeous. I've got a couple of pre-set Takumars (135/3.5 and 105/2.8) and I absolutely love them. Show us some photos soon please!

Found this in my archive, from the very beginning of my journey into film photography (I'm old enough to remember it first time round, but not old enough to have done it). Second camera I ever bought, Spotmatic F, and the second film I put through it, a Kodak BW400CN. Reminds me how much I love that tank and how I've neglected to use it recently.
My friend Karen came over from Japan and we met up in London. This was taken on the Strand with an SMC Takumar 55/1.8, Hoya orange filter, 1/60s wide open. |
