I think I have been called to reply to this. Probably You haven't photographed any situation, when silent AF is needed, for example a wedding, theathre and cetera. Of course, You can have any screw drive lens You want but You don't change the fact that is ancient tech in terms of modern technology.

It is not negativity - it's concern. I will just point out that we already have revamped 35 mm glass and it is HD Pentax-D FA 645 35/3.5 AL [IF] for medium format. And yes - it is screw driven.
