Maybe was you, i dont remember very well, i believe was a DA* lens... But anyway, my point is you cant blame Cris at that moment or Prescicion at this for the delay for parts that they dont stock or ran out of stock, the order of parts have been made your camera is on hold for the parts and Ricoh is honouring the warranty, not in the time everyone wants, but i hope they repair the camera asap and return it to you working properly.

Sorry i wasnt talking about the repairs or the mess of Ricoh when theymade the switch to precision... I remember a few threads about the waiting for parts, a few delays in the order of months (mostly lens parts).

I think before prescicion the repair center was criss camera(?), if a recall correctly they were better at repair and comunication, but they suffer the same problem of not stocking parts for repairs.

Im not defending Ricoh or Prescicion in any way, i was victim of the Aperture Lever on the K30 (and out of warranty), im think Ricoh must repair free of charge all the cameras even out of warranty, i buy the camera in USA my camera fail in Mexico where i live, im knew i was on my own on the warranty but i really love that camera, i manage to repair in 1 week after 90usd payment on a small shop on Mexico City....but i believe all the action taken for the OP are little above the circumstances, the camera fail, he send the camera to repair, repair says "we dont have thr parts, you must wait to make the repair"... The warranty is being honored and the service is provided, im sorry, the way i read all this thread is like a rant about his camera not being repaired in 1 week.

You are believing, the moment Prescicion send the order of parts Ricoh drop the package at EMS or SAL, most of the time maybe Ricoh dont have the part and order to another factory, if that factory have rhe part or take time to fullfill the order, then send to Ricoh and then Ricoh send to prescicion if the part is not a priority, may they search on others warehouse for the part semd to Ricoh and then prescicion... It take time.
That if isnt prescicion the one who make order only one day of the month (that could explain the 3 weeks delay for parts) and that add time, maybe Ricoh have more than only your parts in the order and will take a few weeks to ship all the parts togheter rather than a few screws every time to save costs.
