Item Description
This is another lens I picked up on ebay in a spate of LBA. Just after this purchase I found a good deal on an EX DG 24-60/2.8 and I've used that lens at the exclusion of this one.
This lens is in good shape, but does have a tiny scratch on the front element (visible in the photos).
My impressions of this lens are that it's a bit soft and exhibits some CA when wide open, but it cleans up nicely at smaller apertures. The lens construction is plastic, and the focus ring feels pretty cheesy when manually focused, but the AF is fast and seemingly accurate.
As I mentioned, there's a tiny scratch on the front element (not my fault - it came that way! ;)) Based on this, and this, I think you'd be hard pressed to notice any image degradation from the mark, but it's got to be mentioned. It's about 1.5 millimeters in length and like a fine, fine hair in width... It look's like 1.5mm of my baby's fair hair are on the lens but won't brush off.

The cool thing about this lens is it's fairly wide open aperture throughout the focal range. It lets you get better subject isolation with shallow DOF than, for instance the kit 18-55 offers.

The K200d in that gallery is sale pending with someone from the wanted forum, but If you want to get in line, pm me about that too. If the pending sale falls through, I'll list it properly - It's got 14,500 actuations and light scratching on the LCD that you can't see when the LCD is on(visible in the photos).
Oh yeah, the lens comes with the original front cap, a generic rear cap, and the original Sigma box with "manual" sheet.
