More accurately, "if you like wider angle of view photography". DOF doesn't change unless you change your focal length and/or your position (assuming you want to keep your aperture identical). The wider angle of view certainly makes it easier to achieve narrow DOF but you have to change your perspective. This may not be desirable or even possible. Whether that is an "upgrade" is debatable. :cool:

I'd like to know why the K1 would be considered an upgrade?
Just because it is FF? It has a slower continuous shutter rate (4 vs 8 fps).
You cannot as easily reach long zoom ranges on the K1 as with a APSC.
The FF lenses are much heavier, although the 28-105 on the K1 is nice and light, it doesn't cover near the range of the 18-135 on an APSC.
There are pluses and minuses to both. I would not necessarily consider the K1 an upgrade if it doesn't suit your needs.
