Received the camera today from Amazon. Surprised to see that they did not put any bubble wraps or air-cushions in the shipment box. Luckily the outer box (shipping box) has just enough space to hold the camera box, so the camera box won't move around. There are no digs or marks or the camera box. I tested the camera and so far it is fine. I also called and complained about the packaging to Amazon so that it is on their record (if something goes wrong in the first 30 days, I have a valid explanation).
Camera feels nice in hand. Menu seems to be cleaner. I haven't heckled all the options yet. It looks like similar to K-3.
Weekend will be busy with shooting. I will e using the new 28-105mm, 43mm limited and 77mm limited.

What was your order date at Amazon? They have started shipping early pre-orders like the ones from February and early March.
If you need it urgently, you can still order through Adorama as they have a few of them in stock (as per their web site).

In my case Amazon already charged my card on yesterday night. My order date is 03/10. I called them yesterday morning and they did not have any updates. Within a few hours they charged my card, updated the status and delivery date. It looks like Amazon received some stock yesterday afternoon and they started fulfilling the orders.

I just cancelled my B&H order which was sent to warehouse (as per today morning). Since I already got the confirmation that my Amazon.com is still on target for tomorrow (05/05) delivery, I have decided to cancel my B&H order. This means someone will be moving up to the chain. My B&H order date was 03/06.

My pre-order date is 03/06/2016. However, the order status is the same ("on order"). I do not know what is going on at B&H....

It is funny..I also placed an order from Amazon (order date is March 10th). I just got an email from Amazon that my item is scheduled for delivery on May 5th (Thursday). It looks like I need to call and cancel B&H order.

I just spoke to a B&H customer service person. According to him, B&H will be receiving a shipment late today or by tomorrow. He is not sure how many will be in that shipment (they can only be sure after they received the shipment) and how many of the pre-orders will be fulfilled. My order date is March 6th and not sure whether I will get the item this week (I am just keeping my fingers crossed).
