Now, for something entirely different!
Yesterday I was doing some front/rear focusing checks with the 150-500 HSM OS and I noticed that the foot of the TS-31 tripod collar looked remarkably like the mounting plates for ARCA-style tripod clamps, and so I tried to see if it would actually fit into the ARCA-compatible clamp on the top of the tripod - and it did (just!, although there was slight scuff marks of the sides of the collar foot)!
Wonder who had the "idea" first?;)
